We been working on the video lately,. shooting while doing shows, and then editing while we role, it's a little, shall we say Ed Wood-ish director style in that it's 'hey how bout you go over there and .. uhm ill go over hear and then,.. I'll video tape it, then you jump around or something.. okay?' kinda deal..

But in all honesty everybody that we have shown it to so far seems to feel it looks pretty cool, in fact a few people even asked if it was professionally done, when it's finished we will probably have it stream on the site.

we have recieved a ton of help from a lot of people along the way,. i will try to figure out a way to recognise them more formally in the coming entries.

We are currently heading back to L.A. we a have a couple shows there then to Oregon.

Spank and Pat are both really excited to get back 'home' but I am feeling very emotional about the whole thing, I guess it's trying to re-acclimate to a more normal life style then having to rev back up to leave for another 8 or so months... I wish this part could be easier. It's possibly the most difficult part of touring for me. Strange.

We did a show a couple nights ago, 'College of Lake County' and we had a good time, really nice people. Doug, Hanna (not pictured) and Chriss helped us set up all day, and Cindy hooked us up with some real Chicago style pizza, and I gotta say it was possibly the best pie I have ever had! Thanks Cindy,.. thanks for EVERYTHING! also Dan was the man behind all the live web streaming for the day thanks Dan!, (no picture check pats entry..)

Today's entry comes from a coffee shop here in Greencastle, IN. We had a show last night at Depauw University. Although the turnout wasn't what we would have hoped for, the ones wo braved the cold were a lot of fun to be with.

Thanks Depauw for bringing us in. Hopefully, we'll do it again.

Check it out!

On our way out of Fort Smith, we passed by a bunch of kids at a car wash. We decided to stop by and see about giving the bus a rinse.

We ended up not doing it, but it was fun trying.

April 30, 2005

Last night we had a one of the best shows to date. It was at the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith, and from the moment we got there, we could tell it was going to be a special event. This would be due to the efforts of one Anne Lockwood and her troupe of street teamers, fronted by Gina, Chant and the indomitable Brocken. They took care of us on every level. They created a 'green room' for us with food, beverages and something we have never been given before, bags of, well for lack of a better word . . . goodies! There were all the essentials a growing rock star needs: -	a pen and notebook to keep all the 'ladies' numbers in -	Student Activities T-Shirt so we look fashionable -	A Styrofoam cup holder to keep the beers, er . . I mean beverages cool -	A stylish, industrial strength rubber band to keep our mullets in check (as soon as we grow them) -	'Rock It' fuel in the form of a brownie and some peanut butter cookies, yum! -	A traveling musician's size can of EDGE shaving cream, the good stuff! -	A quaint sized container of fragranced shower gel because they know that when you rock hard, you smell really stinky, and we rock really, REALLY HARD!

Anyway, it was just really cool that they thought enough about us to put all that together. It just makes us feel a little bit more special. Thanks guys!

If the show turned out as well as it did it would be because they promoted the living daylights out of it. They put flyers on bathroom stalls and bags of potato chips, made posters and banners, passed out copies of our sampler CD, and made sure there was a turnout.

Others schools take notice, IT WORKED!!!

We performed in front of a large, lively crowd that wanted to have fun. They were energetic, enthusiastic and willing to allow themselves to have a great time. In fact, the Chancellor for the university came up on stage, (OK, some students ran over and dragged him on stage but the guy was there). Everyone was dancing, singing, playing air guitar and just having a blast. After the show, they brought a whole bunch of pizza into the green room and we had an after show party with all the people who stuck around. I can't say enough good things about Anne and her crew. They took care of us, and we took care of them. The night was a smashing success and one of, if not the best shows we've ever had. There is already talk of us going back to do another show.

I, for one, can't wait.

Last Thursday we were at Arkansas Tech University. They wanted us to be their band for their outdoor concert and BBQ for the end of the school year. If you were to look back at some Road Diary entries you'd see some very familiar faces, specifically Pete Kelly, the student activities director, and a couple of adorable young lasses named Jamie and Haley. It was a gas to see them again.

Although the show did have a few complications, like the mechanical bull 20 feet away from us whose generator was louder than Hades and spank nearly breaking his neck by cleverly falling off a chair during his bass solo, we had a raucous time of it. Fortunately, we were able to do the show and get all our gear back in the trailer before it started to rain.

Arkansas, for those who might not have ever been, has incredible thunderstorms. LA never gets that kind of weather.

April 26, 2005

Our show at Dakota Wesleyan University was amazing. First of all, props go out to Susie Hadrick and smashing student board for helping us out during set up and tear down. The gig was originally planned to be outside, weather permitting. Well, weather didn't permit, so we moved it into their auditorium. Talk about good luck. The place had it's own lighting system and the room was very rock-band friendly with a stage that was the appropriate height for jumping off and getting back on.

The best part were the people that showed up. Sometimes they want to sit back and just listen and sometimes want to get into to it. It's way more fun for us when they get into it. The group that came out wanted to be involved and they ended up spending the night dancing off and on the stage.

At the end of the show they hung around for another hour or so and helped us film our video for the Happy Song. It was awesome.

Looking forward to going back.
